Job description

The Ashcroft Dental Clinic is currently seeking 1-2 Registered Dental Hygienists to join our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for building strong patient relationships and contributing to the ongoing oral health of their community.

Responsibilities

• Appropriately assesses, plans, implements and evaluates services for patient care
• Performs all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planing, polishing & topical fluoride.
• Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
• Providing consistent patient experience during hygiene visit
• Establishes strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
• Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations
• Demonstrate active listening and empathy to patients using effective communication skills

Schedule:

9hr shifts, Tuesday & Wednesday and 8hr shifts, Thursdays

- Weekends and Statutory Holidays off

- All days and hours are negotiable

Summer brings the warmer weather with temperatures into the 30’s Celsius and the longer evenings create the perfect setting for enjoying life outdoors. Camping, swimming, fishing, and hiking are a few of the activities locals and visitors enjoy during the summer months.

Fall brings the cooler evenings but is still wonderful and warm throughout the day. The trees begin their transition to their fall palette, the salmon begin their long journey north and the farm markets are bursting with produce for winter storage.

The community has a rich history that played an important role during the gold rush days and the development of the interior of the province. Our museum is considered one of the best in BC and the walking tours of the downtown area provide a wealth of information on various historic buildings and some of their former residents. Ashcroft offers a variety of recreational activities and special events and is only 3 minutes off of the Trans Canada, we invite you to come down and discover all we have to offer.
