Our expert staff are here to help you find all the free resources you need and to support you in your job search. WorkBC Ashcroft offers a range of free programs and services, the use of our Self Serve Resource Centre (computers, printers, and phones), and one-on-one assistance with an Employment Advisor.

Our friendly staff are always ready to help, share job search tips and tricks, and keep our job board updated with local postings.



The WorkBC Ashcroft office will be closed on December 26th, December 27th, and January 2nd due to statutory holidays. We hope everyone stays safe during this holiday season, and we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!


We are open and available to assist you. Please call or email ahead to book an appointment if possible. Most services will be provided virtually at this time over the phone or virtual-video, however we are able to accommodate clients who require in-person service.

The WorkBC Wage Subsidy program covers a part of employee wages so employers can hire job seekers and provide work opportunities. Both unemployed individuals and employers in B.C. can benefit from WorkBC Wage Subsidy.

I am an employer. How can the wage subsidy help me? Wage subsidy offers employers opportunities for:
• A portion of wages for employees
• Re-hire laid off employees
• Hire new employees
• Fill various hiring needs
• Support for existing operations or expansion
• Reduce work-related barriers for and employee with disabilities

Job Seekers
I am a job seeker. How can the wage subsidy help me? If an employer applies for a wage subsidy, a job seeker can get: 
• Paid work experience opportunities
• On-the-job training
• Opportunities to gain skills and long-term employment

 I am a job seeker. How do I apply for WorkBC Wage Subsidy?
 *You don't apply for the wage subsidy. The employer applies, however you can:

• Talk to a potential employer about wage subsidy and suggest they apply
• Apply for WorkBC Employment Services and explore if a wage subsidy opportunity is a good fit for you
