Description
A Head cook is required for a 80-person tree planting camp. The head cook will oversee 3 other kitchen staff, a baker, a breakfast cook, and kitchen assistant, prepare suppers for our active tree planting employees, and place weekly food orders. The Head cook will prepare 2 soups, 1 salad, meat dish, a vegetarian option, carbohydrate and vegetables for supper.
A set meal plan has been established and applicants must be willing to work within the meal plan.
The kitchen is a converted 53-foot reefer trailer. Our camps are inspected by Northern Health and WCB and we comply with all the requirements of a safe and healthy work environment.
Experience is required. Understanding cooking for large groups that can file through a meal line efficiently is needed.
