Description
The Village of Lytton is seeking a qualified economic development officer with a combination of local government, economic development, business, public administration, and/or community development education and experience.
In this position you will play an integral role in Lytton’s economic recovery, supporting business development and investment in Lytton, and implementing key recommendations for the Village’s Economic Recovery Plan and Tourism Destination Development Plan.
You will work closely with rebuilding businesses to access PacifiCan federal funding and other funding programs, raise awareness about opportunities for investment in Lytton, and support businesses with building and compliance processes. Additionally, you will work with developers/property owners/investors to attract additional housing and new hotel accommodation development required to support the business community and tourism in Lytton.
You will collaborate with the Lytton & District Chamber of Commerce, Lytton First Nation Economic Development Corporation, and other regional partners, and act as an advisor to the Village on policies, bylaws, and grant opportunities to support economic development.
This is a full-time contract hybrid position, which will involve remote work and scheduled time in the Village of Lytton.
