Monette Produce is a leading agricultural operation dedicated to high-quality crop production and sustainable farming practices. We are seeking two Vegetable Crop Managers to oversee field operations, ensure compliance with agricultural best practices, and lead our field crews to success.
Position Overview
The Crop Manager will be responsible for managing field activities, coordinating crew operations, and ensuring the successful growth and harvest of crops. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in agronomy, and a commitment to efficiency and quality. In this role, managers will gain experience in both organic and convention production practices along with industry leading technologies and implements.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and manage work schedules for field crews.
· Train, supervise, and ensure compliance with food safety and company policies.
· Monitor job progress and ensure efficiency in task completion.
· Approve time tracking and payroll submissions.
· Oversee field preparation, planting, irrigation, and IPM programs.
· Manage all aspects of harvest and post-harvest field cleanup.
· Ensure proper logistics for the movement of harvested crops.
· Oversee proper operation and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment.
· Coordinate with the Farm Manager to schedule necessary repairs and servicing.
· Train field crews on the safe and efficient use of equipment.
· Ensure machinery is used efficiently to support planting, irrigation, and harvest activities.
· Maintain records for food safety compliance and traceability.
· Track labor allocation and collect data on field performance and crop health.
· Provide regular updates on agronomic conditions and field progress.
· Ensure crops meet specifications and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
· Experience in agriculture, crop production, or farm management.
· Strong leadership and organizational skills.
· Knowledge of irrigation, IPM programs, and agronomic practices.
· Ability to train and manage a diverse workforce.
· Experience with farm equipment operation and maintenance.
· Proficiency in data collection and reporting.
· Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Position Details
· Full-time seasonal, 40 hours per week minimum
· Pay: $25-30/hr
· Monday to Friday, weekends as needed
· Location: Cache Creek, BC.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
