Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on kitchen management and food safety. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating innovative menus, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive and productive kitchen environment. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to excellence in hospitality. Must have banquet and events experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design creative menus that reflect current food trends while meeting customer preferences.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Deliver and execute all banquets and events in a calm and orderly fashion.
  • Able to run high volume events while maintaining a restaurant at the same time.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and controlling food costs.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to enhance guest satisfaction through culinary excellence.
  • Manage all kitchen finances and cost control.
  • Implement new cooking techniques and presentation styles to elevate the dining experience.
  • Handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.
  • Reports directly to F&B Director.
  • All responsibilities include up to and not limited to any direction of the company.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with experience in team management.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels.
  • A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as an Executive Chef with banquet and events background.
  • Red Seal preferred.
  • Food Safe level 3 preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $72,500.00-$80,000.00 per year
