Location: Historic Hat Creek Ranch (near Cache Creek, BC)

Position Type: Full-Time Seasonal (with potential for extension)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Wage: $23.75

Historic Hat Creek Ranch is a vibrant Provincial Heritage Property nestled in the beautiful interior of British Columbia. Operated by the St’uxwtews Pesuten Heritage Society, the Ranch offers a unique glimpse into Indigenous and early settler histories through immersive tours, events, and cultural programming. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Booking Coordinator & Payroll Clerk.

Key Responsibilities:

Booking Coordinator Duties:

• Manage bookings for school groups, bus tours, private events, and overnight stays.

• Serve as the first point of contact for booking inquiries via phone and email.

• Coordinate with site departments (Interpretation, Food Services, Accommodations) to ensure smooth group visits.

• Maintain accurate booking records and calendars.

• Send confirmations, invoices, and follow-up communications.

• Assist with check-in and greet large group arrivals when required.

Payroll Clerk Duties:

• Collect, review, and enter staff timesheets for bi-weekly payroll.

• Liaise with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.

• Track vacation time, sick days, and other leave.

• Issue Records of Employment (ROEs) as needed.

• Maintain confidentiality of all employee records and financial information.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, bookings, payroll, or related fields.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).

• Experience with payroll software and basic accounting knowledge is an asset.

• Ability to stay organized while handling multiple tasks.

• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with heritage tourism or Indigenous-led organizations is a bonus.
