Monette Produce is a leading agricultural operation dedicated to high-quality crop production and sustainable farming practices. We are seeking up to two Vegetable Equipment Operators to oversee field operations, ensure compliance with agricultural best practices, and lead our field crews to success.

Position Overview

The Vegetable Equipment Operator plays a key role in executing day-to-day field operations including planting, irrigation, crop care, and harvest. This hands-on position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Operators will gain experience with both conventional and organic farming methods, as well as the operation of modern farm equipment and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily field activities including soil prep, planting, weeding, and harvesting
• Operate tractors, harvesters, and other farm equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with irrigation setup, maintenance, and monitoring
• Support crop protection programs by following IPM guidelines
• Perform general equipment maintenance and cleaning
• Load and transport harvested crops to designated storage or processing areas
• Follow all safety, food safety, and company protocols
• Record field data and report crop conditions to supervisors
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in vegetable or crop production is an asset (training provided)
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn farm equipment operation
• Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety and efficiency
• Valid driver's license is an asset
• Ability to work flexible hours during peak seasons
• Ability to understand Spanish is an asset but not required.

Position Details

• Full-time seasonal, 40 hours per week minimum
• Wage: $22-35/hr
• Monday to Friday, weekends as needed
• Location: Cache Creek, BC.

Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
