SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Gold Trail School District invites applications for the position of

1.0 FTE or Flexible FTE Continuing Itinerant Speech Language Pathologist Commencing July 1, 2025

Position Summary:

This is an excluded 12 month position that involves working in the summer. This is an itinerant position. This position is 50% school-age service delivery and 50% 0-5 years within the school district catchment area, allowing for the opportunity for early intervention and seamless transitions to school. Direct service to students, and consultative service to staff, parents and administrators, is provided in different schools and across a variety of settings. Effective liaison with caregivers, teachers, administrators, health care professionals and other outside agencies is a critical aspect of this position. Some travel to outlying communities will be required. The Speech Language Pathologist works with Speech Language Pathology Assistant(s).

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must meet the membership requirements of the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals
  • Must possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other teachers, caregivers, support staff, administration and outside agencies with an emphasis on students at the elementary level.
  • Experience working within a school and community health environment
  • Previous experience as an SLP, particularly in a school setting, would be an asset
  • Valid driver's license

Salary and Applications:

The starting annual salary for this full-time 12-month/year position ranges from $98,524-$123,156 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications. The district offers a competitive benefits and pension package.
