Overtime: 1.5x OT implemented after 10h day or 40h week.

Travel: Travel incentive is included per collective agreement

Union & Benefits: Employees will be hired as Union Members and benefits provided under International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 115 upon signing up and paying admission fees

Position Overview:

Cantex Mining Services is seeking a Low Bed Operator this specialized operator will haul and move heavy equipment via low-bed transport when required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload various equipment safely to and from low-bed trailers.
• Ensure compliance with securement, transport, and equipment handling regulations.
• Perform walk-arounds and inspections before and after moves.

Expectations:

• Maintain PPE standards during loading/unloading.
• Travel to site with low-bed or equipment as needed.
• Manage fatigue during long-haul shifts or transport moves.
• Maintain professionalism on and off job sites.
• Operate solo with strong judgment and safety awareness.
• Communicate updates to site leads and track all documentation.
• React to transport or environmental complications safely and efficiently.
• Prevent spills or equipment damage during load operations.

Required Experience:

• Proven low-bed operation experience.
• Experience loading/unloading heavy construction or mining equipment.

Documentation: All successful candidates must provide the following prior to confirmation of start date:

• Void cheque/direct deposit form
• Copy of Driver’s Abstract
• Copy of Driver’s License
