Overtime: 1.5x OT implemented after 10h day or 40h week.

Travel: Travel incentive is included per collective agreement

Union & Benefits: Employees will be hired as Union Members and benefits provided under International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 115 upon signing up and paying admission fees

Position Overview:

Cantex Mining Services is seeking a Articulating Rock Truck Operator this role involves operating Cat 740 articulated rock trucks or similar equipment to transport materials in a mining or construction environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate articulated trucks safely to haul materials in a mining or earthworks setting.
• Conduct pre/post-shift inspections; identify wear or defects.
• Follow site instructions and haul routes precisely.

Expectations:

• Adhere to full PPE requirements and respirator use.
• Self-transport to remote job sites.
• Manage physical demands of long shifts, including nights.
• Be a reliable, communicative team player and work independently as needed.
• Prioritize safety while maintaining production targets.
• Use radios for clear, professional communication and complete job-related
• paperwork thoroughly.
• Adjust quickly to environmental or task-based changes.
• Prevent environmental incidents and respond appropriately to site conditions.

Assets:

• Experience with mining haul cycles.
• Understanding of hazard recognition and confined space entry protocols.

Documentation: All successful candidates must provide the following prior to confirmation of start date:

• Void cheque/direct deposit form
• Copy of Driver’s Abstract
• Copy of Driver’s License
