Overtime: 1.5x OT implemented after 10h day or 40h week.

Travel: Travel incentive is included per collective agreement

Union & Benefits: Employees will be hired as Union Members and benefits provided under International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 115 upon signing up and paying admission fees

Position Overview:

Cantex Mining Services is seeking a Labourer that will support a wide variety of general site tasks including equipment spotting, site cleanup, manual tasks, and entry-level equipment operation.

Responsibilities:

• Lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
• Complete daily task lists and adapt to priorities set by supervisors.
• Work in all outdoor conditions including wind, snow, and rain.
• Assist in site operations including basic mechanical support or equipment movement.

Expectations:

• Wear full PPE, including a respirator when needed.
• Travel independently to job locations.
• Handle extended workdays or night shifts.
• Be a positive team member and work solo when necessary.
• Focus on safety while completing high-output tasks.
• Communicate via radio and submit proper documentation.
• Adapt to changing site conditions.
• Support environmental protection efforts (e.g., spill containment, site cleanliness).

Assets:

• Prior equipment exposure or spotting experience.
• History of physical labour in industrial settings.

Documentation: All successful candidates must provide the following prior to confirmation of start date:

• Void cheque/direct deposit form
• Copy of Driver’s Abstract
• Copy of Driver’s License
