Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laborer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various physical tasks across our work sites, supporting project completion, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is physically fit, eager to learn, and committed to contributing to team success.
Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Prepare work sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary tools and supplies
- Support skilled tradespeople with basic tasks as directed
- Perform general labor such as digging, lifting, and moving materials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure environment for yourself and colleagues
- Operate basic machinery or tools if trained and authorized
- Assist in site cleanup at the end of each shift
- Work on paving crew in hot weather
- Placing lock blocks
Skills
- Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding manual labor tasks
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in construction or industrial settings
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks
- Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or warehouse environments is a plus but not required
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for success in this role
- Required to show up to all shifts no matter circumstances
- Duties include general construction labourer and use of plate compacter and other small tools
- Personal life stays at home must be professional and clean
Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months
Pay: $24.00-$33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 40 per week
