Job Summary:

Cantex Mining Services is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator registered as an Engineer In Training (EIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) for an earthworks / mining operation around Logan Lake, BC. Experience on mining and construction sites is preferred. Safety is our number one priority from management to supervision and our culture is focused on teamwork and completing the mission safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily LEM process and ensure labour and equipment financial data is accurate along with daily production and targets.
  • Manage the daily Quality Control data for hydraulic and mechanical placed material and ensure operations is aware of any issues.
  • Assist in the development and management of project schedules and planning using 3D CAD based and scheduling software.
  • Coordinate project activities, including meetings, documentation, and communication among team members.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to support project planning and execution.
  • Conduct construction estimating to assist in budget preparation and resource allocation.
  • Maintain organized records of project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines through effective time management practices.
  • Collaborate with various teams to facilitate smooth workflow and address any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Experience:

  • Civil / Geotechnical Engineering degree or certificate preferred but any Degree in a recognized Canadian University in Canada will be considered. Engineer In Training (EIT) registered with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) is preferred.
  • 2-3 years experience in a Project Quality Coordinator role or similar
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior computer skills and technical writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to solve problems based on clearly defined procedures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, Project)
  • Must hold and maintain a valid Class 5 Drivers License.
  • Show up to work on time, follow instruction, and work as a team.
  • Must successfully pass a Pre-employment drug and alcohol test, criminal record check and driving abstract.

  • Copy of Driver’s License
