Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mobile Crane Operator to join our dynamic construction team. This role is for a project we have near Logan Lake, BC at the Highland Valley Copper Mine. In this role, you will operate mobile cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient operations that contribute to the successful completion of our projects.

Duties

• Operate mobile cranes safely and efficiently to lift and move heavy construction materials and equipment
• Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes to ensure safety and functionality
• Coordinate with ground personnel to position loads accurately and securely
• Follow all safety protocols and site regulations during crane operation
• Maintain detailed logs of crane usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Assist with setup and dismantling of crane equipment as needed
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding load plans and site conditions

Requirements

• Certification required: Hydraulic Unlimited - or - 80 tonnes and under Hydraulic
• Proven experience operating mobile cranes on construction sites or similar environments
• Mechanical knowledge of crane systems, controls, and safety features
• Valid commercial driver’s license with appropriate endorsements for heavy equipment operation
• Familiarity with construction equipment such as concrete mixers, dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy machinery including Caterpillar equipment
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices and regulations
• Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on crane machinery
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
