Wage: $28.92 hour

Location: Kumsheen School

*Custodians will not be required to work when schools are closed (i.e. Christmas and Spring Break)


DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Custodian, under the direction of the Director of Operations and the school Principal, cleans required
areas to ensure that the facility is maintained with regard to safety, sanitation and security. The successful
applicant is expected to:

  • perform general custodial duties

  • perform minor maintenance work

  • secure windows and doors, set alarm(s)

  • communicate effectively and work co-operatively with co-workers, school administration and staff, and public.

Custodian Detailed Job Description

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

  • Knowledge of cleaning materials, methods and supplies

  • Must have WHMIS training

  • Physical capability to perform the work

  • Training or related experience

  • A commitment to working as a member of the school team in support of students

  • A clear Criminal Record check prior to commencement of employment
