Position Summary

Cantex Mining Services is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator (Engineer-in-Training preferred) to support earthworks and mining operations near Logan Lake, BC.

This role plays a key part in coordinating project activities, tracking progress, managing costs, and supporting reporting requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to safety and teamwork.


Employment Details

  • Schedule: 14 days on / 7 days off (may vary by project)
  • Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 annually
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package
  • Travel: Travel incentive or LOA may be available
  • Orientation: Online and site orientation required

Note: This is a local hire position. Camp accommodations are not provided; employees must reside in the region and secure their own housing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety practices and standards
  • Support quality control program compliance
  • Assist in managing multiple work packages and maintaining documentation
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and project controls
  • Track job costs across various contract types
  • Assist with contract administration, change orders, and dispute resolution
  • Support invoicing, accruals, and financial reporting
  • Attend and contribute to project meetings
  • Review foreman reports for accuracy and coding
  • Conduct site visits with management
  • Track project milestones and update schedules
  • Assist with budgeting, estimating, and quoting
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with project teams

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Civil or Geotechnical Engineering degree preferred (other relevant degrees considered)
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (Primavera an asset)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass:
    • Pre-employment drug and alcohol test
    • Criminal record check
    • Driver’s abstract
