Description

The Artisan Gallery Salesperson is responsible for but, not limited to customer service and sales transactions in the Gallery.

Specific Duties include, but are not limited to

  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the shift
  • Listen to customers to gain an understanding of their needs and assist them in locating items on the sales floor
  • Advise customers on use and care of merchandise as needed
  • Examine the sales floor to ensure merchandise is well-stocked, well-maintained
  • Checks delivered items against packing slip to ensure accuracy and alert manager to any delivery discrepancies
  • Prepare merchandise for purchase
  • Process transactions, handle cash, process debit/credit cards
  • Assist in display of merchandise
  • Maintain sales records for inventory control on Artisan inventory
  • Makes sure store is neat, dusted and well organized
  • Restock items on the sales floor
  • Reports any issues or concerns to Artisan Gallery Coordinator
  • Answer phones when requested and take reservation information to be relayed to administration
  • Watering flower beds and hanging baskets in the front and the back of the Artisan Gallery – daily unless a full-time gardener is in place

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to wear period attire or costume or company logo wear
  • Foreign language skills are an asset but not required
  • Ability to pass and maintain a criminal record check
