Description

The cook is responsible to assist the Head Cook in restaurant operations.

Specific duties include, but not limited to:

  • Working in the preseason, during the open season and post season events and after season shut down
  • Assist with menu planning
  • Assist with organizing daily restaurant operations as well as catering to large groups
  • Notify the Head Cook of any stock or equipment or staffing issues
  • Address customers needs, comments, and complaints when Head Cook is not available
  • Adhere compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Post season duties include but are not limited to cleaning the kitchen and reducing all food items properly and storing away all equipment
  • Assist with reviewing the inventory list for all kitchen items.

 

Qualifications

  • Red Seal an asset
  • Indigenous culinary experience and asset
  • Excellent communication interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work and adapt under pressure
  • Food safe certificate is required
  • Foreign language is an asset but not required
  • Ability to pass and obtain a criminal record check
