Description

Servers are responsible for greeting customers and making their experience enjoyable. Taking food and beverage orders. Restocking and inventory for ordering of products. Setting up and taking down dining areas. Perform cleaning duties daily.

Specific Duties: daily and weekly include, but are not limited to:

  • Opening restaurant
    • Taking chairs off tables (dining room and cafeteria)
    • Setting up deck, opening umbrellas and organizing chairs
    • Cleaning all deck tables and chairs from spiders, dust, etc. every morning
  • Welcoming and seating guests upon arrival
  • Provide excellent customer service during the customers dining experience
  • Provide suggestions for food and drink choices to diners, asking feedback
  • Ability to multitask and to cater to multiple groups at one time
  • Communicate effectively with Chef and other kitchen staff and interpretation staff
  • Cleaning and or sanitizing tables, chairs, windows, and doors.
  • Always having clean work surfaces and spaces for our customers
  • Stocking beverage and ice cream cooler at the end of each shift
  • Aware of when products are running low and making a list of items in need of ordering ex: Beverages, Dry Stock, Ice Cream
  • Catering to and preparing for scheduled bus groups, school groups and private groups
  • Cleaning ice cream freezer
    • 1-2 times weekly, scraping built up ice on walls of freezer
    • Cleaning ice cream scoops after every use and storing cones in a sealed container
    • Rotating the ice cream buckets when empty and filling with new stock
  • Watering flower beds and hanging baskets in the front of the VRC and the back – daily (servers rotating days of when to water) unless a full-time gardener is in place
  • Closing restaurant
    • Cashing out and balancing till(s)
    • Placing chairs on top of tables (dining room and cafeteria)
    • Closing deck umbrellas
    • Tilting chairs, locking doors, and turning all lights off
    • Emptying all garbage’s
    • Cleaning all surfaces replacing ice cream lids
    • Turning off coffee machines and putting baked goodies back in fridge

Qualifications:

  • Must be respectable, presentable, punctual.
  • Able to be a team player
  • Excellent Communication, Written skills, and Basic math
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs
  • Must have food safe
